NFL insider Jordan Schultz seems to think there is a very real chance that Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh could choose to leave the team and head back to the NFL this offseason, but there is one team he sounds certain Harbaugh will not be joining: the Chicago Bears.
During a recent appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Jordan Schultz explained that he does not think it’s likely that the Bears hire Jim Harbaugh due to Harbaugh’s cold relationship with Bears’ president Kevin Warren.
“The reason I’ll say that [Harbaugh to] the Bears won’t happen definitively is because when Harbaugh was at Michigan, Kevin Warren was the Big Ten commissioner. They don’t like each other,” Schultz told Cowherd.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Jim Harbaugh left Michigan for the NFL – the interest will be significant – but I’d be shocked if it were the #Bears, if that job came open.

“In fact, you could say they despise one another based on the comments in the media,” Schultz continued. “So Kevin Warren – who is the president of the Bears – is not going to bring in Jim Harbaugh.”
However, Schultz does think it’s entirely possible that Harbaugh does vault to the NFL this offseason, citing his success at Michigan and the fact that he could be facing NCAA sanctions from recruiting violations and an alleged illegal sign-stealing scandal. He just does not believe it will be with the Chicago Bears.
“It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Jim Harbaugh was back in the NFL because there’s going to be interest,” Schultz said. “It will not be with the Chicago Bears.”
