Jalen Rose is buying into the belief Anthony Davis is destined for L.A.
Speaking on Jalen and Jacoby, Rose is buying into the belief Davis’ recent change in his representation to Klutch Sports (who represent LeBron James) will lead him to leave New Orleans after this season and to join the purple and gold.

The caveat here is, Davis isn’t a free agent until after the 2019-2020 season, so for Rose’s prediction to ring true, the Lakers would have to work out a trade for Davis. I don’t see that happening.
Davis might not have long-term aspirations to stay with the Pelicans, but the chances New Orleans deals the 25-year-old superstar forward is very unlikely. There’s little incentive for the team to deal Davis, especially to a conference final, when he’s still controllable, and the team is still in its competitive window. Also, why would the Lakers give up a ton of assets for Davis when they can just wait it out?
It’s possible the Pelicans trade Davis to the Lakers after next season, but it’s also possible LeBron James retires tomorrow – it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. I’d be shocked if Rose’s prediction comes true. Although, Davis ending up in L.A. eventually isn’t as farfetched.
