Professional sports teams in Las Vegas were always going to market themselves differently than your average team, especially in the buttoned up NHL. The news that a strip club in Vegas will be hosting viewing parties to watch the new Golden Knights play should therefore not be much of a surprise, but it feels so natural considering we’re in Vegas, even though the team has nothing to do with this promotion.
Crazy Horse III will be hosting “Hockey at the Horse” viewing parties throughout the season to celebrate the arrival of Vegas’ first professional sports team. If you’re wondering about the first two Crazy Horse clubs… let’s just say they’re not going to be hosting hockey viewing parties there.
Straight from the horse’s mouth (stick tap to Puck Daddy’s Greg Wyshynski for this obvious but good joke):
In celebration of the first professional team in Las Vegas, the Vegas Knights, the award-winning gentlemen’s club will unveil game day specials, including a “Bucks for Pucks” deal, offering $1 admission for any guests arriving via their own transportation.
During all NHL games, Crazy Horse III will offer $20 beer bucket specials. Throughout the season, guests with a game-day ticket stub to a home game will receive a complimentary drink. Sports fans can take in all the hockey action amidst the club’s massive 70-inch and 100-inch HD televisions.
Forgetting that the team is called the Golden Knights and not the Knights, obviously, the team hasn’t sanctioned this event because they’d never get away with it, even in Vegas.
Vegas hockey and strip clubs do have a bit of a history, as the ECHL’s Vegas Wranglers once hosted an “Over 18 Night”, which featured a “Stripper 101” thing for fans and male strippers dancing their way through the concourses. And you thought bobbleheads were the best free giveaway at sporting events…
So at Crazy Horse III, you can watch Vegas’ newest attraction while taking in one of its oldest traditions. You can have your hockey itch scratched as well as a few others, all at the same time.
