While it’s relatively old news that Pokemon Red, Yellow, and Blue are going to be heading to the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo did announce some exciting news about the transition today. The games will be available on the Nintendo eShop on February 27th, 2016, which is exactly 20 years from their original release.
The gaming company, in partnership with The Pokemon Company, is releasing a special edition bundle to go along with the re-release of the games.
The system is going to have both Pokemon Red and Blue pre-installed and will also come with two cover plates, one with Charizard and the other with Blastoise. There has not been a release date for the bundle yet, but I’m guessing it will not be too far after the late February re-release of the two original versions.
