Not only did Ludovic Chorgnon accomplish what the heavy majority of humans cannot do, he did it 41 times…in 41 days. The Frenchman embarked on a journey last month to complete 41 triathlons in 41 days, a feat that seemed borderline impossible. However, upon crossing the finish line after a 2.36-mile swim, 111.8-mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run on Monday, it was no longer deemed impossible.
The previous record? 10.
“I wanted to show that we can mobilize that instead of complaining, we have to move,” Chorgnon said via L’Equipe. “Now I’m going to party and take care of my family after 41 days.
In addition to the numerous supporters that accompanied him on the various legs, he enlisted the help of doping officials, the French Triathlon Federation and Guinness Book of World Record to ensure there was no controversy surrounding the accomplishment.
