The Winnipeg Jets faithful knew they had a monster task ahead of them in their opening round playoff series with the Anaheim Ducks but most were confident they could at least grab a win or two, or even pull out a shocking series win. Things didn’t quite go as planned, with the Jets bowing out in four games, leaving fans very bummed but still optimistic for the future of hockey in Winnipeg.
Following their team’s 5-2 loss in Game 4 on Wednesday night, the entire crowd stuck around for the conclusion of the game and proceeded to give their team a rousing standing ovation during the handshake line. They might be depressed this week but at least they exited with serious passion and class. Think they’re happy to finally have NHL playoff hockey back in town?
