In case you missed the important news earlier this year, Baylor is attempting to convert a 410-pound lineman into the world’s most fun to watch tight end. The experiment actually seems to be going quite well.
LaQuan McGowan, a 6’7, 410 lbs. senior who has primarily lined up at guard in the past, has switched over to TE on the field (and on the program’s official website) for spring practices, where he has created a few highlights that should make Baylor’s opponents next season very concerned.

Not surprisingly, he’s quickly become a fan favorite.
We’ve already been given a glimpse of what we might be able to expect from McGowan, as he caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Bryce Petty in the Cotton Bowl last year.
