The Kentucky Wildcats are one of the favorites to win the National Championship this year and one fan has gone ahead and gotten a tattoo that already proclaims Kentucky the winner of the NCAA tournament.
While these types of stories aren’t exactly groundbreaking anymore, Kentucky fan Rock Wright isn’t even committing all the way to the ethos of his new ink.
Wright noted that he isn’t ruling out changing the ’15’ to a ’12’ should his bold prediction fail.
“It’s highly unlikely, but there’s always that little bitty chance and I could change it to a 12, ‘cause I know you all remember us winning in 2012. Otherwise, I got seven more championships before that so I got a lot of options,” he said.
Doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose of getting a predictive tattoo in the first place? Might as well wait until after the tournament so that you don’t have to go back to your tattoo artist to merely change a single number.
Then again, unlike some of these other ink-based predictions, at least Wright can rest assured that there’s always a concrete option for his tattoo to reflect reality, something that we can’t say about all sports tattoos.
