For some weird reason, Jeff Triplette’s crew needed instant replay to see that Alshon Jeffery did not get his second foot down inbounds on this play.
Now, there are a couple of theories for the initial terrible call.
1) As analyst Brady Quinn said, maybe the officials thought they were officiating a college football game. After all, the game is being played in a college football stadium
or
2) Jeff Triplette’s crew sucks.
Xavier Rhodes thinks it’s option No. 2…
The call was eventually reversed and the Bears settled for a field goal.
