Anthony Davis made his TNT debut Thursday night, and he did not disappoint. The Pelicans’ big man racked up 30 points and 15 rebounds in a 112-85 blowout loss that probably would have been a little bit closer if 1) Davis’ teammates didn’t suck, and 2) they weren’t playing against the (now) 16-2 Warriors. If you watched the game, you’d have seen Pelicans guard after Pelicans guard brush off AD in favor of contested drives to the hoop, ultimately resulting in an unnecessary amount of turnovers and a humiliating outcome.
I guess those guards — Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans, Austin Rivers — forgot that their teammate is a generational force who should be fed the ball as much as possible. Here’s what he does:
