Believe it or not, we’re almost one-fourth of the way through the NBA regular season, and, so far, these are the only truths we can sign off on: 1) The top teams in each conference are who we thought they were, 2) Tanking teams aren’t tanking as hard as we imagined they would, 3) New York City-based teams can’t play basketball, 4) God does not exist, and 4) the Eastern Conference is so bad that they should start forfeiting playoff slots. Other than that, we’re just soaking in the random absurdities of another great season in the best sports league on Earth.
To celebrate the quarter mark, we’ve decided to highlight a handful teams that we think you should be watching. There isn’t a whole lot of rhyme or reason to our selections, other than that these teams generally don’t appear on national television very often (so-called League Pass teams) — unless it’s the Knicks and/or Nets, because LOL. We may address teams as a whole, or focus on one player to watch for. We’ll update this post with links to each individual piece.
