During Sunday night’s NFC Championship game loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Detroit Lions tried and failed to convert on fourth-and-goal twice in the second half. But it sounds like quarterback Jared Goff has no regrets about the call.

During his postgame press conference, Jared Goff reacted to the decisions from head coach Dan Campbell to go for it on fourth down, saying he “loved” the aggressive decisions from his head coach.

“He believes in us,” Goff said according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “I don’t know what the numbers are but we had a lot of big-time conversions this year that changed games and I don’t know what we were today. I know we had the two we didn’t convert. It can change a game if you convert them and we didn’t. And that’s part of the reason why we lost.”

Obviously, it didn’t work out for the Lions as the team failed to convert both chances and ultimately ended up with zero points on both drives. But it’s safe to say that the Lions don’t necessarily feel bad about their aggressive decisions, they just wish that they would have converted on those opportunities instead.
