On Monday, the Oregon Ducks teased Twitter with this glow-in-the-dark poster of an Oregon football player in uniform. The image was pretty awesome.

However, it appears that some people took one look at the image (apparently skipping the 140 character message and relevant hashtag #GlowInTheDarkPoster) and immediately began speculating that the Ducks would be dressing up in a glow-in-the-dark uniform during the upcoming season.

Even SportsCenter jumped the gun, tweeting that the Ducks would have this glowing design as an “option” in the fall.

Thankfully, the Ducks quashed the madness by reminding SportsCenter that these are posters and not uniforms that will be worn during games (although we can always hope).

A little common sense would have probably gone a long way in stymieing this misunderstanding. After all, it’s not like the Ducks are going to play any games in complete darkness.
