Rob Gronkowski may have only used Tinder once (because his matches were understandably skeptical that they were actually chatting with Rob Gronkowski) but he walked away from that experience with a wealth of knowledge that he happily shared with “Outsider” Mike Costantinou of ESPN Radio.
Gronk may be in a relationship but he certainly hasn’t lost his feel for our modern Tinder-fied dating game. The Being Known as Gronk had these words of wisdom for those who are smart enough to heed them:
“You have to hit the ‘swipe right’ button for every single one.”
…
“You can’t be serious. It’s Tinder, you gotta write something crazy.”
When asked for an example of his “crazy” pick up line, Gronk came up with the perfectly Gronk way to go about introducing yourself to strangers over an app.
“Like, ‘Hey, do you work out? Because I’m ripped. I’m jacked.” and then send them a picture with your shirt off. Then they’ll be like, ‘Woah, this guy’s serious. I like that.'”
To be fair to Gronk, I’m pretty sure that’s how he greets everyone he meets for the first time.
