I have no idea what Kendrick Perkins’ plan was on this play, but when the guy across from you has alien arms and is working on a 25/10/4/6/4 stat line, it probably won’t end well — especially if you’re name is Kendrick Perkins. While blocking Perkins one-on-one qualifies as light work for Anthony Davis, this play had a much higher degree of difficulty. Notice how AD deflects the pass on defense, then deflects it again to Tyreke Evans for the score. It’s plays like this that led to the Pelicans ruining Kevin Durant’s season debut, winning by a score of 112-104.
