The New York Jets selected former Western Kentucky star wide receiver Malachi Corley in the third round of the NFL Draft last month, and it sounds like he’s already making quite a strong connection with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In fact, Rodgers has even decided to house Corley for the time being.

Malachi Corley revealed that after some conversations with Aaron Rodgers following the draft, the future Hall of Fame quarterback offered Corley to stay in his guest house as he transitions to New York. And Corley is planning to accept that offer.

“I only talked to him on draft night,” Corley said according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. “I’ve texted him the last couple of nights. I’m just like a little kid. He’s an adult. He’s the MVP, Hall of Famer, all those types of things. I’m just like a little kid talking to him all the time, texting him, trying to see what he’s done to stay consistent in the league, the things that he’s done to work on his mental health, how he’s kept his body alive so long. He said I could stay in his guest house if I want to. So, yeah, me and him are close. That’s going to be my dog while I’m here.”

Obviously, this situation led to a lot of reactions on social media.

It sure sounds like their relationship is off to a strong start.
