Marshawn LynchMarshawn Lynch attended Super Bowl Media Day and spent his entire 4.5 minutes of required interview time repeating the same line: “I’m just here so I won’t get fined”. According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, the NFL has had it up to HERE with Lynch’s media shenanigans, and threatened to fine him $500,000 if he blew off the precious media horde — which, for some reason, still thinks Lynch has something to say.

Two of those media members holding out hope for a substantive sound bite were Rob Demovsky and Bart Hubbuch. And they responded to Lynch’s antics exactly how you’d imagine some whiny reporter would.

Also, it’s worth noting that Lynch’s potential fine would have been equivalent — from a financial standpoint — to Jim Irsay (popped for a DUI while tooling about town with drugs and a bag of cash) and Bill Belichick (Spygate). Yet, it still would have been more than five times the punishment the league doles out for one man attempting to break another man’s leg.
