WNBA superstar Brittney Griner revealed this week that she and her wife, Cherelle recently welcomed a new baby boy to their family, marking their first child together.
During the WNBA’s All-Star events, Britteny Griner revealed to Terrika Foster-Brasby of CBS Sports’ We Need To Talk that Cherelle had recently given birth to their new baby boy on July 8, and it sounds like he has already turned their life completely upside down.
“He is amazing!” Griner said according to The Spun. “They say you know as soon as you see him, everything that you thought mattered just goes out the window, and that’s literally what happened.”
Big congrats to Cherelle and @brittneygriner on the birth of their baby boy❤️

While the couple has not shared any photos of the baby publicly just yet, it sounds like she hasn’t been shy about taking photos for herself.
“My whole phone is turned into him now,” Griner said.
Griner admits that the timing of the birth “kind of sucks” considering she is about to leave the country to represent the United States at the Paris Olympic Games this month, but it sounds like she’s enjoying the time she gets to spend with him right now.
After making her ninth appearance at the WNBA All-Star game this week, she will then head to Paris with Team USA to try to win another Gold Medal.
