Yesterday seemed to be going pretty well for Joseph Fauria. The Lions tight end scored his first touchdown of the season and then busted out the best celebration dance of the day during Detroit’s win over the Buccaneers. But it seems Fauria’s day might not have ended so great.
Just after midnight, Fauria sent out a strange tweet about his (possibly former) girlfriend, Erika Hammond, and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. Though the tweet was quickly deleted, here’s a screencap courtesy of @grade_eh_tweets:
It sure sounds like Fauria is calling out Wilson for stealing his girl, especially since he mentions Brennan Clay in the tweet as well. If you haven’t been keeping up with the news, Clay, a former Oklahoma running back, put his wife on blast for fooling around with his ex-teammate, Cowboys running back Demarco Murray, behind his back.
Things seemed to going pretty well between Fauria and Hammond all the way up until yesterday night (she even retweeted his touchdown celebration yesterday afternoon) so it’ll be interesting to see if any details come out of this.
Apparently the code of honor among NFL players is going to shit.
