There’s been no shortage of highlights through the early stages of Minnesota’s high school hockey state tournament, which got underway this week.We already showed you the Lakeville North player who dangled around an entire defense all by himself en route to scoring a sick goal, but you’re also gonna wanna see this crazy save from Bemidji goaltender Grant Tharaldson.
The senior netminder made the desperation diving glove stop to rob Edina halfway through the second period during Thursday’s opening round action. The sick grab denied Edina’s 4-on-2 opportunity and left everyone – including the players, fans and announcers – absolutely stunned.
Unfortunately for Tharaldson and Bemidji, Edina managed to pull out a 6-4 victory and advance on to the next round. This highlight isn’t a bad consolation prize, though.
