Matt Stonie is well-known for being one of the world’s best competitive eaters so it wasn’t entirely surprising that the man known as “Megatoad” recently set the world record for the most bacon eaten in five minutes.
As one can see from the strangely hypnotic yet disturbing footage, Stonie absolutely mows through plates upon plates of bacon on his way to competitive eating history. In a mere five minutes, Stonie managed to eat 182 slices of bacon.
That’s about 36 slices of bacon per minute.
That’s about 637 grams of fat in total.
Just watching this makes me want to take a very long nap afterwards.
Apparently, bacon-eating hasn’t been an area where competitive eating has much of a history. The previous unofficial record for bacon-eating was a mere 54 pieces.
