Ashlyn Watkins may only be eleven-years-old, but the South Carolina fifth grader has serious hops.
During a recent girls’ All-Star game, Watkins soared for a two-hand dunk on the court’s nine-foot hoop. For those who are unimpressed by that because it’s a nine-foot hoop (and I bet you’re really fun at parties if this applies to you), rest assured that Ashlyn may soon be dunking on 10-foot hoops. The center can reportedly grabbing rims of NBA regulation-sized hoops.
The 5-foot-11 post player — who is a member of the Class of 2022, for those keeping score at home — is reportedly already grabbing rims on 10-foot hoops. That’s enough to get people talking about Watkins being the youngest woman to slam a ball on a regulation hoop in a competitive game.
