I had never really heard of the Southern Professional Hockey League prior to today but, after seeing this video, I now have a favorite SPHL player – Columbus Cottonmouths goalie Andrew Loewen.
While backing up Canadian goaltender Shannon Szabados in her pro debut for the Cottonmouths this past weekend, Loewen got a sweat in by joining the dance team during intermission. Loewen showcased his impressive Wobble dance skills prior to the third period getting underway and the crowd absolutely loved every second of it, and it’s pretty easy to see why – he was by far the best performer of the group.
If Szabados manages to lock up the starting job for good, at least Loewen has pretty solid fallback plan.
