It takes a lot to get kicked out of a rugby match, and last weekend, Tevita Nabura found out what will get you in trouble.
Nabura, representing New Zealand at the Super Rugby International League, was sent off for an epic, flying kick to the face of his opponent. Even Nabura’s teammates wince at seeing the dude take a foot to the face.
Kudos to the Australian player receiving the kick for not falling immediately and attempting to take down Nabura. That’s true grit.
After getting sent off Nabura’s New Zealand squad would lose 41-12. So, the lesson is here, if you want to win kids, don’t kick your opponent in the face and get kicked off – even if it looks cool.
