Golfer Rory McIlroy recently decided to engage in some serious fan service on his Facebook page. Instead of merely using it as a channel to post pictures of his travels or plug various endorsement deals, McIlroy actually waded into his page’s comment section to interact with some of his fans.
While Rory fielded many questions and requests, Facebook user Barry Edwards hit the figurative jackpot with his comment. Edwards jokingly mentioned that he needed a driver and McIlroy not-jokingly responded that he could have one of his old clubs.
Edwards was initially understandably flabbergasted by McIlroy’s offer but he quickly recovered and sent his mailing information to McIlroy, who promised to ship the man one of his Nike Covert Drivers.

For those hoping to buy a used Rory McIlroy Nike Covert Driver soon, it should be noted that Edwards has no intentions of selling the club.
