Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is just 28 years old and has already accomplished more than some Hall of Fame quarterbacks accomplished in their entire careers. It has some wondering if Mahomes could already be considered the greatest quarterback of all time. But his father doesn’t seem to think he’s there quite yet.
During a recent interview, Patrick Mahomes Sr. was asked whether or not he thinks his son is the best quarterback of all-time right now. He gave a pretty honest response – and sent a pretty clear message to Tom Brady in the process.
“That’s still to be determined,” Pat Mahomes Sr. said. “He still has a ways to go. I have mad respect for Tom Brady and I grew up as a Joe Montana fan. [Patrick] is on the right trajectory, but right now, I would still say those guys are better.”

Mahomes is certainly on pace to enter the conversation, especially if he is able to win this year’s Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers later this week.
We’ll have to see how Mahomes’ career unfolds and whether or not he can pass Brady in the debate surrounding the greatest player of all time.
