Arena Football League players are currently making $400 a game. With only 10 games in an AFL season, that’s not exactly racks on racks. Orlando Predators players decided to go on strike and ask for their salaries to be tripled. Their bold strategy backfired, and every player on the Orlando roster got cut a couple hours before their season-opening game. Local former football players filled in the roster spots, and the Predators went on to lose their season opener.
This sounds like a real-life version of The Replacements, only this time Kyle Israel (UCF QB 2004-2007) is the makeshift team’s leader instead of Keanu Reeves.
