At the start of last year, Sam Priestley decided to dedicate some time each day to a new pursuit: ping pong.
He then proceeded to document his progress over the course of a year for the “Expert in a Year Challenge” and this video was soon after Prestley completed his year dedicated to ping pong.
Spoilers: Sam becomes pretty good at this whole ping pong thing. Although he didn’t become one of England’s 250 best players, Sam thoroughly enjoyed the process. As his trainer Ben Larcombre acknowledges in his blog on the subject, Sam is going to continue to try and break the top 250.
I am certain that Sam will continue to improve as he gains valuable match experience in the local league. And maybe one day, if he keeps up the table tennis, he will achieve the top 250 ranking we were striving for.
