Oddly enough it wasn’t Big Baby shedding tears in Boston recently. After finding out he had been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder Kendrick Perkins told CSN New England:
“There was a lot of crying, lot of hugging going on, and a lot of it was me. I miss them, I ain’t gonna lie. I’m gonna miss the hell out of them. It’s going to be hard leaving them behind, leaving this team behind and the fans and this city. But this is a business, and being traded is part of that business.”
The rest of the Celtics (and the better half of Boston fans) were none too pleased to see Kendrick go and they let their opinions be heard. It is good to see a NBA player emotional about his team, but tears may be a bit over the top if you ask me.
