This year’s cultural beef between Jalen Rose and Grant Hill has been well documented. In the ESPN 30 for 30 on Michigan’s Fab Five, Jalen referred to Black players at Duke as “Uncle Toms”. Grant Hill, one of Duke basketball’s most famous alums, took exception and used the New York Times to voice his displeasure.
But in a recent interview on WJR-AM 760, Jalen said the two have put their differences aside. In fact, Grant will be making a visit to Jalen’s new charter school that opens up this fall in Detroit:
“I have talked to Grant Hill, who I’ve know since I was 13, and we are on the same page…He even promised to make sure he was someone who would not only support the school but promised to make a visit.”
