Wednesday night’s high school basketball game between Cardoza High School and ConneXion Academy turned into an all out brawl. The fight not only featured players, but was extended to coaches and fans.
Cardozo students tell FOX 5 that tensions had been escalating during the game because of controversial calls from the referee. Then someone in the stands shoved a Cardozo coach. The fight began and spectators cleared the stands and took to the floor. Punches were flying along with chairs.
The fight was so bad that the Baltimore police were called in and officers ended up using pepper spray to diffuse the situation. Both schools released statements saying they are investigating the incidents and will move for swift disciplinary action towards those involved.
