Greensboro College pulled off a crazy 9-3-2 triple play against Maryville College in a Division III level baseball game on Saturday.
While the defense on the play was certainly solid from Greensboro, it took some absolutely awful baserunning from Maryville to make this rare play happen (and it would probably take awful baserunning to ever make a 9-3-2 triple play happen).
Maybe that Maryville baserunner was actually safe at home plate, but you deserved to be called out for trying to score on that play. He hadn’t even gotten back to third base yet to tag up by the time the right fielder caught the ball in shallow right field. Quite a TOOTBLAN.
