Following the Phoenix Suns loss 97-94 to the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, Suns guard Grant Hill had a Seinfeld moment and was spit at by a fan. However, unlike in Seinfeld Grant Hill saw the spitter and went after him.
The Arizona Republic reported that Hill said a fan “cursed and spit at him” as he exited the court.
Grant Hill commented on the situation following the game:
“He said some profanity and spit in my direction, I’m not going to let somebody spit at me. He knew he did wrong because he took off running.”
Hill was said to have been held back and the fan was caught by security just seconds later. Vince Carter weighed in on the incident as well:
“I just saw the anger in his face. When you see Grant like that, you know something’s up. Grant doesn’t say anything to anybody. He competes and does his job.”
