Rookie goalkeeper David Bingham did something that I’m pretty sure not many other goalkeepers in the MLS have been able to pull off. He was able to score from more than 90 yards out in his professional debut during the San Jose Earthquakes win over West Bromwich Albion 2-1 on Tuesday(exhibition).
“I didn’t even see it go in,” Bingham said. “I hit it and I knew I overhit it, so I just turned around and walked back. And then everyone started yelling. . . . Sometimes it’s good to be lucky.”
Yes, VERY lucky.
