Last week Cosby Sweaters wrote on a trend that might occur during the NBA Lockout: players heading oversees to get their game on. Well, NJ Nets point guard Deron Williams becomes the most notable player to take his talents oversees as it looks like Williams will be running the point for the Turkish team Besiktas.
According to Beskitas coach Ergin Ataman the deal is done and Williams will do a press conference in the US next week with team president Seref Yalcin. For those following along, yes, Besiktas is the team that signed Allen Iverson last season.
Williams has two years and $34 Million left on his contract with the Nets and it’s yet to be determined how this move will alter that.
