This picture is certainly not for the faint of heart. Delino DeShields Jr., a minor leaguer for the Houston Astros’ Corpus Christi Hooks, was hit by a 90MPH fastball during Friday’s game. It’s being reported that the former eighth pick in the 2010 draft suffered a broken check bone.
If there’s any upside to DeShields’ injury, at least it didn’t hit him in the nose.
