Did you know that 15% of iPhone passwords are the same ten different passwords? Daniel Amitay, developer of the free Big Brother Camera Security app, embedded code into his application to record the most common iPhone passwords people were using to launch his app. He was not able to track the passwords people use to get into the iPhone’s lock screen, rather the passwords users had set to administer his application. Because the password screen on Amitay’s application is similar to the main iPhone lock screen, he assumes there is a strong likelihood that the passcodes people chose to use for his app are the same ones people use to unlock their password-protected iPhones.
The top 10 most common iPhone passwords are: 1234, 0000, 2580, 1111, 5555, 5683, 0852, 2222, 1212, 1998
