Photos leaked today of what appears to be Sony’s upcoming PlayStation phone. Although the phone does not specifically brand itself with the PlayStation name, an up close look at the markings show PlayStation-style buttons and a logo used in the PlayStation Store. The screenshots show the phone running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), but hardware specifics are still unknown. What does this mean for Android gamers who aren’t using this phone? It means they won’t be able to take advantage of the controller, duh. Developers will have to make a conscious decision whether or not the games they create will take advantage of the extra hardware. Sony Ericsson will be in attendance this year at CES so maybe we’ll get some more information then. Oh, and I’ll be there too. At least when I’m not at the Adult Entertainment Expo which is conveniently going on at the same time. More photos after the jump.
