Google tweeted today that searches for the term “Bin Laden” on Sunday night spiked 1 million percent. The below chart, tweeted by Google, shows the influx at approximately 8PM PDT on Sunday, May 1st before it drops off with a later gradual increase into Monday, May 2nd. The major decline in searches late Sunday night can most likely be attributed to President Obama’s announcement that Osama Bin Laden had been killed. The President’s announcement was watched by over 56 million viewers.
Screw Bin Laden. I’m going waterboarding this weekend.
