The latest piece of Mac OS X malware, MACDefender, has brought to light the fact that the Mac is not invincible to viruses or malware, well sort of. If you find yourself installing something you’re not familiar with and it asks for your password, stop there and quit the application. It may be obvious to most, but clearly many people can’t grasp that concept. Apple and its technical support are refusing to help customers infected by the malware so it’s up to you to uninstall it.
