Facebook bans roughly 20,000 kids under the age of 13 every day. Mozelle Thompson, Facebook’s Chief Privacy Advisor, told Federal Parliament’s cyber-safety committee, “There are people who lie. There are people who are under 13.” Facebook has detection methods in place to identify toddlers who access Facebook, but Thompson admits that, “It’s not perfect”.
