George Hotz a.k.a. Geohot, the popular hacker behind the iPhone and PlayStation jailbreaks, has reportedly started working for Facebook. According to Geohot’s Facebook profile, he made a statement on June 22nd saying, “Facebook is really an amazing place to work….first hackathon over.” It is not clear what role Geohot plays at the social network behemoth; however, he may be working on the official Facebook iPad app. The development of a Facebook iPad app is purely speculative since Mark Zuckerberg denied the possibility of such a thing back in November of last year.
Geohot was the first person to unlock the iPhone in 2007.
