As you may have heard or read, Epsilon, the company responsible for handling the management and delivery of millions of customer emails for major corporations, was hacked in what may be the largest digital security breach in U.S. history. Although Epsilon claims that extremely sensitive person information like Social Security and credit card information was not obtained, customer names and email addresses were. The first company to notify its customers was TiVo. Now we’re getting reports that Best Buy, Target, Citigroup, HSN, College Board (represents nearly 6,000 U.S. colleges and universities), J.P. Morgan Chase, Barclays, Walgreens, U.S. Bancorp, and Capital One all use Epsilon to handle their mailings and are therefore also affected by the breach.
Cosby Sweater’s TheDoctor has been tripled-teamed by this unfortunate event, receiving emails from Chase, Target, and Best Buy. He was kind enough to send the emails he got from the various companies which are displayed below.
