Surfing is one of those things that can be too easy for surfing expert Jamie O’Brien. He hasn’t met a swell yet he hasn’t been able to conquer. But on Wednesday in Tahiti, he realized he might have bitten off more than he can chew when he agreed to surf one of the world’s heaviest waves — while lit on fire.
Here’s O’Brien surfing Teahupo’o.
My first reaction was: how is he surfing and on fire at the same time?!?! Like, real fire is coming out of his wetsuit. But then I thought about it, what better place is there to be on fire than the ocean? Things get a little too hot, and then you can jump in no problem. They really thought this through.
