Everton was supposed to have an EPL match on Wednesday against Crystal Palace, but it ended up being postponed due to building damage which led to some safety concerns. This wasn’t that big of a deal to the thousands of fans in attendance, but for one fan it was almost a heartbreaker. A fan, who goes by ric_wee on Twitter, had been looking to the match for over 30 years as it was going to be the first time he had seen his beloved club (Everton) play live.
Luckily for ric_wee, his Tweets about how excited he was to attend the game were retweeted by numerous fans and eventually it even caught the eye of the team’s social media folks. Everton then took to Twitter to find the gentleman and proceed to lead him down to the Everton locker room where he got up close and personal with the team and coaches.
You have to love every part of this.
