Pop megastar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have been together for over a year now, and the pair always manage to attract the cameras when they’re seen out together.
This was the case once again as the couple were spotted out on a date at SoHo Italian restaurant Torrisi. However, Taylor made sure her attire was full of symbolism for her diehard fans.
According to Vogue, Swift wore a miniskirt and matching corset top made from a chartreuse headstock velvet from Annie’s Ibiza. Although Swift’s outfit was stunning, it was her accessories that helped the hidden messages.
Swift wore a black Roberto Cavalli monogram bag that was stylized as an R with interlocking snakes, a major nod to her upcoming album, Reputation (Taylor’s version).
Swift didn’t stop with the major references there. The singer also made sure to wear Versace sandals with the brand’s Medusa logo. This comes after she was attacked on social media with snake emojis following Kim Kardashian indirectly calling Swift a snake.
However, Swift has taken back the power, turning snakes into a part of the lore behind Reputation.
Kelce in comparison to Swift was much more dialed back and elected not to help promote the album. He went with a blue knit polo and khaki pants. He probably knew he wouldn’t be able to compete with his date.
It’ll be interesting to see what else Swift has in store for the album’s imminent release.
