Actress Hailee Steinfeld is dating Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, but the pair had to deal with a bit of a problem recently.
Steinfeld has a blog where she revealed some misfortune the pair stumbled into.
“I got this knife for Josh last year for Christmas because cooking is something we love to do together,’ Steinfeld said in her blog, Beau Society.
“For Christmas, he got me the same one in a different colorway! After we exchanged our knives lol, he told me there’s an old wive’s tale that if you gift your significant other a knife you have to pay for it, otherwise it signifies the severing of a relationship. So we exchanged quarters, so we didn’t have that bad omen”, according to the Beau Society.
It’s a good-natured mistake to give each other the same gift, but at least we know they’re not in danger of severing their relationship after the quarter exchange.
The pair have been together since 2023, and Stenfield is a regular attendee at Bills games, although they seem to be a much more low-key power couple than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who are constantly dominating the headlines.
Still, Steinfeld has made her presence felt across the Bills’ community. She recently commented excitedly on the Instagram picture of Bills quarterback Shane Buechele and his wife Paige announcing they were expecting their first child together.
Hopefully, Steinfeld’s support will be enough to carry the Bills to the Super Bowl this year, as her boyfriend looks to finally get over the hump.
