When it comes to politics, everyone seems to have strong opinions. That’s particularly true when it comes to former United States President Donald Trump, who former NASCAR and Indy Car driver Danica Patrick says makes people “very triggered.”
Last year, Danica Patrick attended a Turning Point USA event and received a lot of criticism. During a recent interview with rightwing political commentator Tucker Carlson Patrick explained that she believes the criticism was because everyone thought the event was “basically a Trump rally.”
“Yeah. Well, I was super surprised by how it went when I went to the Turning Point event and when I talked about loving my country and posting these pictures. I went with my sister and it was just a fun few days, and I was just really surprised that people could be so angry about — and I didn’t even make a stance. I think everybody thinks it’s basically a Trump rally,” Patrick told Carlson.

This response prompted Carlson to ponder why people react so negatively to Donald Trump. And Patrick had a pretty strong response.
“People are very triggered,” Patrick said.
Patrick did not indicate whether or not she is a Trump supporter herself, but she clearly thinks that others react to strongly to the former president.
