Most of the time, I’m not very fond of the shootout. Saturday’s matchup between Team USA and hometown Russia in Sochi was not one of those times.
The epic eight-round showdown came after 65 minutes of tightly-contested hockey and – after both sides put the other on the ropes – T.J. Oshie came up huge for the Americans as a repeat shooter.
