A huge wipeout just before the finish line led to quite the incredible photo finish during a quarterfinal run in yesterday’s Ski Cross competition in Sochi. As you can see in the GIFs above, the race leader took a spill on the course’s final jump, causing multiple skiers behind him to follow suit.
Switzerland’s Armin Niederer was the only one who managed to avoid the wreckage and stayed on his feet for a first place finish. However, the finish was much closer for those who couldn’t keep their balance:
